St Sava COVID-19 Updates - July 15th, 2020
Some changes have been made to classroom locations because of distancing and class sizes.
When possible, teachers will be moving instead of students to different classes.
Arrival and dismissal procedures will be changed to allow for temperature and wellness checks as well as distancing.
Additional hand washing stations will be provided as well as hand sanitizer stations.
Additional sanitizing and disinfecting of surfaces will be done on a scheduled basis throughout the day
Our hot lunch program will continue with a few adjustments (having 2 lunch times with sanitizing in between, etc)
Masks are highly recommended for all, but we are also aware of the developmental needs of our youngest students. There will be more detail on this as we get closer to actual opening.
The outdoors will be used as much as possible to give students and staff some "mask breaks."
We are making contingency plans for online or hybrid learning if need be.
As soon as practically possible, all students K-8 will be taking the MAP assessments so that areas of academic weaknesses can be identified and addressed immediately.
Family surveys will be done in the next few weeks to collect more input
